This print is made from an original painting by Hillary Holmes. The image depicts the trail leading from Morris Island to the Monomoy Preserve in Chatham, Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
The sparse foliage of the cape is shown in deep blues and rich greens. The soft sands of the path, created with muted yellows and pinks, trail off over the dune and down to the beach below. Above the crest of the dune a lively sky is shown in grays and pinks, with painterly brushstrokes.
